What Counts as an Water sports on Boreas.
A Boreas charter is not a fixed-programme tour. Your group charters the entire 50m superyacht — crew, Zodiacs, PADI-certified dive guides — and the week is built around what your group wants to do in the water and on deck. No other guests. No shared schedule. No fixed roster of strangers.
The Red Sea between Hurghada and the Southern offshore reefs contains some of the most active marine encounter sites in the world — Daedalus, the Brothers, Elphinstone, Rocky, Sattaya. Your group decides how to move through them. Full Red Sea dive guide →
3 PADI-certified dive guides on board. 3 Zodiacs on the water during sessions. Up to 3 dives per day. Night dives available. Snorkel, freedive, or simply spend the afternoon on the sundeck while the divers are down — Boreas runs as a mixed-activity charter by default. Non-divers are not an afterthought.
Activities — What Your Group Can Do on Charter.
The activity programme is built around your group during pre-charter planning. Below is what is available on a Boreas water sports charter — from in-water activity to on-deck time. Every element is included in the all-inclusive charter price.
Up to 3 dives per day with PADI-certified guides. Sites include Daedalus Reef, Brothers Islands, Elphinstone, Rocky Island, and Sattaya. Night dives available on request. Equipment and air included on charter.
Snorkel gear provided aboard. Zodiac transfers directly to reef sites. Shallow reef walls, coral gardens, and dolphin anchorages accessible from the Zodiacs without scuba certification. Spinner dolphin encounters at Sattaya Reef are a regular feature of the southern routes.
The Red Sea’s warm, clear water and minimal current at selected sites makes it one of the strongest freediving environments in the region. Boreas can accommodate freediving groups — coordinate with the team at enquiry stage to confirm site priorities and any instructor requirements.
3 Zodiacs operate concurrently during activity sessions. Used for reef transfers, island BBQ runs, dolphin watch sessions, and surface support during dives. Groups split across Zodiacs by activity preference — divers, snorkellers, and open-water observers run simultaneously.
300m² of deck space across multiple levels. 2 jacuzzis. The star deck is the best vantage point on the vessel for open-water nights at anchor — no light pollution at offshore reef sites. Sundeck bar runs from late morning. Full bar service at both the sundeck bar and indoor saloon bar.
Spa with massage and facial treatments, sea-view gym, and yoga zone available throughout the charter. Recovery between dive days is built into the schedule — afternoons on non-dive days, or parallel with in-water sessions for guests who prefer to stay aboard. Pre-book treatments at enquiry stage.
At Sattaya Reef, the Zodiacs hold position on the surface while spinner dolphins work the water below — your group in the water, 3 Zodiacs on standby, the superyacht at anchor 400 metres off.

Sample Water sports Itinerary — Saturday to Saturday.
Every charter runs Saturday to Saturday from Hurghada Marina / Port Ghalib. The programme below is a representative Water sports itinerary — routing and daily schedule are adjusted to match your group’s priorities during pre-charter planning. Groups running mixed activity programmes (divers + non-divers) are standard on Boreas.

Questions from Water sports Charter Guests
Do I need to be a certified diver to charter Boreas?
No. Diving is available on every charter — PADI-certified guides and up to 3 dives per day — but it is not a requirement. Non-divers can snorkel, freedive, use the spa, yoga zone, sea-view gym, sundeck, and jacuzzis throughout the week. Mixed groups of divers and non-divers are standard on Boreas Water sports charters.
What dive sites does Boreas reach on an Water sports charter?
Routing depends on group priorities and conditions, but core Water sports sites include Daedalus Reef, Brothers Islands (Big Brother and Little Brother), Elphinstone Reef, Rocky Island, and Sattaya Reef. Brothers and Daedalus are offshore permit sites — Boreas holds the necessary permits. Advanced Open Water certification is required for Brothers and Daedalus dives. Full dive guide →
How many dives per day can our group do?
Up to 3 dives per day with PADI-certified guides aboard. Night dives are available on request — coordinate this during pre-charter planning. 3 Zodiacs operate concurrently during sessions, so divers, snorkellers, and surface groups can run simultaneously without waiting for a single tender.
Can a mixed group charter Boreas — some divers, some non-divers?
Yes. This is the most common configuration. While in-water activity sessions run, non-diving guests use the sundeck, jacuzzis, spa, gym, or join Zodiac excursions for snorkelling or surface dolphin watches. The programme is built to run both tracks simultaneously — there is no situation where non-divers are left waiting on board with nothing to do.
What dive equipment does Boreas provide?
Tanks, weights, and air/nitrox fills are provided on charter. Guests are encouraged to bring their own mask, fins, wetsuit, regulator, and BCD for comfort and fit. Hire equipment is available on request — confirm requirements at enquiry stage so the team can prepare the correct sizing. Snorkelling gear is provided for all guests aboard.
Can we customise the activity programme for a corporate or group charter?
Yes. The entire itinerary — dive sites, snorkel stops, Zodiac excursions, island BBQs, on-deck activities — is built around your group’s priorities during a pre-charter planning call. Corporate groups, incentive teams, and mixed-ability groups are a common booking type on Boreas. The Boreas team coordinates all programming pre-departure. Trade & partner enquiries →
