FAQ

Questions About This Package

How do we travel between the oases and the Nile?

Egypt is a large country and these three places are far apart, so the arrangements depend on your dates and group size. Write to us and we will confirm exactly how the trip is put together for you.

How long is the trip?

The length is set with you. Tell us how much time you have and we will build the three sections around it.

Where is Siwa?

In the Western Desert, close to the Libyan border and a long way from the Nile valley. It is one of the most remote inhabited places in Egypt, which is part of why it has kept its own language and culture.

Is the Nile section on your own vessel?

The Nile cruise runs on a partner vessel, and you book and travel through Boreas. You can see the vessels we work with on the Nile cruises page.

Is this trip suitable for children?

It can be, but there is a lot of ground covered and some long transfers. Tell us the ages when you inquire and we will be straightforward with you about whether it fits.

When is the best time to go?

Autumn through spring is the more comfortable window for the desert, when daytime heat is lower. Summer in the Western Desert is severe. Write to us with your dates and we will tell you what to expect.
