You can do yoga anywhere. You can book a spa anywhere. What you can’t replicate on land is the Red Sea — nearly double the global average salinity, 30-metre visibility, 25°C year-round, and over 1,200 species of marine life within snorkeling distance of the vessel. The sea here is not a backdrop. It’s the treatment.

Join a cruise
Travelling solo or as a couple? Book a cabin on a scheduled Boreas departure and join a wellness retreat already in motion. Private cabin, all-inclusive, full programme access.
Bringing a group? Charter all 20 cabins exclusively — your teachers, your programme, your schedule. Boreas manages all logistics end to end so you focus on your participants.
Seven experiences available on every Boreas wellness cruise. Individual guests access the full programme. Groups build their own schedule around their intention.
01
Transformative Travel
Ancient temples at Karnak, Luxor, and Abu Simbel. The Valley of the Kings. Sacred sites built around transformation, death, and rebirth — 3,000 years before the first modern retreat.
02
Yoga & Movement on Deck
Open deck space for morning and evening practice — yoga, stretching, breathwork, movement. Open water on all sides. Sunrise over the Red Sea.
03
Sound Healing & Ceremony
Sound baths, ceremonial circles, and closing rituals on a private deck. The acoustic environment of open water creates conditions for deep listening that no studio can replicate.
04
Local Community & Culture
Connections with local Egyptian healers, community leaders, and cultural guides. Workshops on ancient healing traditions and local ecology. Travel that is connected to the place — not just on top of it.
05
Saltwater Rejuvenation
The Red Sea’s salinity — nearly double the global average — creates natural buoyancy and mineral absorption that spa treatments try to replicate. Morning floats, guided snorkeling, open water swimming. The sea is the treatment.
06
Spa, Massage & Wellness
Full on-board spa with treatment rooms. Massage and bodywork between facilitated programme slots. Vitamin IV drips. Sea-view gym. Every hour between sessions is designed to restore.
07
Marine Conservation & Science
CoralWatch Program
The University of Queensland’s global coral health monitoring. Snorkelers collect real reef data using the CoralWatch Coral Health Chart — your participants contribute directly to global coral research.
Conservation Briefing
Dedicated Red Sea marine briefing before your first snorkel — coral bleaching, reef behaviour, how to snorkel without causing damage. Led by the Boreas dive and conservation team.
Local Programs & Donations
Learn about and contribute to HEPCA’s reef protection and local community programs. Boreas facilitates group donations and connects participants directly with local conservation initiatives.
Also available on request: Meditation and breathwork sessions · Freediving experiences · Private temple visits at dawn · Egyptologist-led cultural immersion · Closing ceremony on a barefoot island · Hot air balloon over Luxor at sunrise · Marine conservation briefings with HEPCA

Between sessions, you’re not waiting in a corridor. You’re on a superyacht, anchored above one of the world’s great reefs.

Ready to Sail the Red Sea?
Request charter rates, join a scheduled departure, or reach out directly. We respond within 24 hours.
Can I join a wellness retreat on Boreas as an individual — without booking the whole vessel?
Yes. Boreas opens individual cabin bookings on scheduled wellness departures throughout the year. You join a retreat already in motion — private cabin, all-inclusive, full programme access. Contact us to check current availability and upcoming departure dates.
Can I bring my own yoga teacher, sound healer, or facilitator?
Yes. For full charter groups, your teachers and facilitators join as part of the group — the facilitated programme content is entirely yours to design. Boreas provides the vessel, on-board wellness team, and all logistics. Your team focuses on delivery.
Do I need to know how to swim or snorkel?
No. The Red Sea’s exceptional salinity makes floating effortless even for non-swimmers. The PADI snorkeling instructor aboard works with all levels. The sea pool, jacuzzis, and all deck activities are fully accessible regardless of swimming ability. There is no requirement to enter the open water.
Can the retreat combine land and sea — Egypt and the Red Sea?
Yes. The standard combined programme is 3 nights in Cairo and Luxor followed by 4 nights aboard Boreas at Port Ghalib Marina. Boreas manages the full logistics end to end — hotels, private Egyptologist guides, domestic flight Luxor to Marsa Alam, and all transfers. A 7-night or 10-night format is also available on request.
How are dietary requirements handled — is plant-based food available?
Plant-based, vegan, and gluten-free menus are fully accommodated. The kitchen sources fresh produce from local Egyptian suppliers. Dietary requirements are confirmed at booking — the full menu for the week is planned around your group’s needs before departure.
Which airport should I fly into, and are transfers included?
Boreas departs from Port Ghalib Marina, approximately 15 minutes from Marsa Alam Airport (RMF). Marsa Alam is the closest and most direct option. Hurghada (HRG) is also available — transfer time to Port Ghalib is approximately 3 hours. Airport transfers from both airports are included within the defined timeframe on arrival and departure days.
What is the best season for a Red Sea wellness retreat?
February through June and August through December are the recommended seasons for the combined land and sea programme. The Red Sea sea-only programme runs year-round — water temperature stays above 25°C throughout the year. July and early August are the warmest months on land in Egypt.
