A Complete Journey of Exploration — Egypt & The Red Sea, by Your Local Professionals.
Our ground team is based in Egypt. When you travel with Boreas, you travel with people who know this country from the inside.
Egypt by land. Red Sea by water. One operator handles everything — from your airport arrival to your final transfer home.
Full exclusive charter — the private superyacht is yours alone. No shared departures, no strangers aboard, no fixed programme from a brochure. The itinerary is built around your group, your dates, and what you want from Egypt.
What You Will Experience — On Land: Ancient Egypt.
Private access before the crowds. Licensed Egyptologist guides. Sites that most visitors see from a tour bus — your group sees from the inside, at your own pace, with real depth.
The plateau before the public arrives. Electric car on-site, private Egyptologist, VIP approach to the Sphinx. The largest stone structures on earth, without a crowd in frame.
The complete Tutankhamun collection, displayed together for the first time in 3,400 years. The world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization — privately guided.
Burial chambers of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs — Tutankhamun, Ramesses, Hatshepsut. Your licensed Egyptologist guide brings every painted wall to life.
The Valley of the Kings, the Nile, and ancient Thebes at dawn from above. One of the most striking perspectives in Egypt — and one of the few still genuinely uncrowded.
Full-day 4×4 Jeep expedition to Fayoum Oasis. Zawara Ecolodge — locally owned, community-supported. Bedouin-style lunch prepared by the resident family.
The site cleared, lit, and set for your group after public closing. Dinner inside one of ancient Egypt’s greatest temples — an experience available only through specialist operators.

What You Will Experience — Aboard Boreas: Red Sea.
The Red Sea holds some of the highest coral diversity on the planet. Water visibility regularly reaches 30 metres. Spinner dolphins, sea turtles, reef sharks, and dugongs share the same reefs. 3 zodiacs in the water throughout every session.
A horseshoe reef with a resident spinner dolphin pod that returns every morning. In the water alongside them — not from a viewing platform.
Guided snorkeling at Abu Dabbab reef — sea turtles, coral gardens, seagrass beds. 30-metre visibility in one of the saltiest seas on earth.
Scuba diving available for certified divers and first-timers through PADI Discover Scuba aboard. PADI professionals on board throughout.
Dinner on an uninhabited island at sunset. Live music, warm Red Sea to the horizon. One of the signature Boreas evenings.
Real coral health data collection during snorkel sessions, submitted directly to the University of Queensland’s global reef database. Your trip contributes to marine science.
Massage, facials, yoga on the sundeck, 2 jacuzzis, sea pool, sea-view gym. Recovery between expeditions — on the most mineral-rich sea on earth.
At Abu Dabbab, sea turtles feed on seagrass beds at 3–5 metres depth — close enough to observe breathing cycles without disturbing their feeding pattern.

Signature Experiences — Land & Sea.
Every one of these is included as standard in the 7-night programme. Extended itineraries add Aswan, Abu Simbel, and additional Red Sea days.
How to Get to Egypt from the US.
EgyptAir operates direct flights from the US to Cairo year-round. New direct routes from Los Angeles and Chicago launched in 2026, making Egypt more accessible from the US West Coast and Midwest than at any point before. From Cairo, a one-hour domestic flight connects directly to Marsa Alam — 15 minutes from Port Ghalib Marina where Boreas departs.
Add Ancient Egypt — Land + Sea in One Trip.
For groups running 10 or 14-day programmes, Boreas offers a combined land-and-sea itinerary. Clients spend three to four days in Cairo and Luxor — the Pyramids of Giza, Valley of the Kings, Karnak at dawn — then board the private superyacht at Hurghada Marina / Port Ghalib for the full seven-night charter.
Cairo & Luxor
Privately guided. Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, Grand Egyptian Museum, Valley of the Kings, Karnak, Luxor Temple. 5-star service standard throughout. Domestic flight included.
Red Sea Charter
Seven nights aboard Boreas from Hurghada Marina / Port Ghalib. Full adventure programme. All-inclusive — your itinerary, your schedule.

Active support of Red Sea local communities. Guests can join community meetings and cultural exchanges during port stops.
Ongoing partnerships with HEPCA, CDWS, and international marine science associations — reef mooring compliance, waste protocols, and diver education on every charter.
No anchoring on living reef. Single-use plastic eliminated from all catering. Marine awareness sessions on selected evenings — open to all guests aboard.
Questions from Adventure Travelers
Do I need to be a scuba diver to join the adventure programme?
No. The adventure programme is designed for mixed groups. Non-divers have full access to snorkeling sessions with guides, all Egypt land experiences, spa, yoga, sea pool, island excursions, and all on-board activities. PADI Discover Scuba is available on board for guests who want to try diving for the first time — no prior certification required.
How long does it take to get to Egypt from the US?
EgyptAir operates direct flights from New York JFK to Cairo daily, approximately 10h 30min. Direct routes from Newark, Washington DC, Los Angeles (from May 2026), and Chicago (from June 2026) are also available. From Cairo, a one-hour domestic flight connects to Marsa Alam — 15 minutes from Port Ghalib Marina where Boreas departs. The Boreas ground team handles all transfers from your Cairo arrival to your final departure.
Is the Pyramids visit actually private, or shared with other tourists?
Your Egyptologist guide and your transport are private — no shared coach, no group tours. Sunrise access means you arrive at the Pyramids Plateau before the majority of visitors, with an electric car available on-site. The Grand Egyptian Museum visit is also privately guided. The sites themselves are public, but the experience is structured entirely around your group.
What is the water visibility like on the Red Sea?
Visibility in the Red Sea regularly reaches 20–30 metres, making it one of the clearest diving and snorkeling environments in the world. Water temperature ranges from 22°C in winter to 28°C in summer. Conditions are consistent year-round, with the northern region (Hurghada) performing strongly in winter and the southern region (Marsa Alam) offering excellent conditions throughout the year.
What happens if the weather prevents a scheduled excursion?
The itinerary is fully flexible — route and schedule are adjusted in real time based on sea conditions. Boreas operates 3 zodiacs throughout every session, allowing quick relocation between sites. In the rare event that conditions prevent open-water activity, alternative anchorages and programme adjustments are made by the on-board team. The land programme in Egypt is unaffected by sea conditions.
Can Boreas accommodate dietary requirements on board?
Yes. All dietary requirements are accommodated — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, and allergy-specific menus. Notify the Boreas team before arrival with the full list of requirements for your group. The kitchen sources produce locally where possible, and the menu is multi-course Egyptian and Mediterranean cuisine throughout.
How far in advance do we need to book?
Full charters typically book 3–6 months in advance for peak season (October–April). Availability for specific dates is confirmed on enquiry. Contact us directly — we respond within 24 hours with a full proposal including dates, rates, and itinerary options.
What insurance do we need for this trip?
Travel insurance covering Egypt and all planned activities is required for all guests. For scuba divers, dive insurance is mandatory — including coverage for diving accidents, hyperbaric chamber treatment, and dives exceeding 30 metres (no depth limit). Trip cancellation and CFAR coverage is strongly recommended. Full insurance requirements are detailed on the Boreas insurance page at boreascruises.com/insurance.
