WHAT IS A DAHABIYA.
A dahabiya is a traditional sailing boat from the Nile. It is small. It moves with the wind.
Nawara is a modern dahabiya. She has two big sails, called lateen sails. The sails do most of the work. The engine is only there for days with no wind.
Big Nile cruise ships hold many more.
When the wind is good, the sails do the work.
Every cabin looks out on the Nile.
That is 18 crew for 24 guests at most.
Dahabiyas also have shallow hulls. That lets them stop in quiet places that big ships skip. Ask us which stops Nawara’s trip includes.
A big ship is a floating hotel. A dahabiya is more like a private yacht.

STEPPING ABOARD.
Nawara is 60 m (197 ft) long and 9 m (30 ft) wide. She has three decks. She was built in 2024.
You get welcome drinks when you arrive. Then you go to your cabin. Every cabin looks out on the river.

Nawara has 12 cabins. Ten are Deluxe Cabins. Two are Jacuzzi Suites. All of them have a Nile view.

Twin or double bed. A big window on the Nile.

A large bed and a private dining area. A marble bathroom with a jacuzzi and a Nile view.
Extra beds and a baby crib are available on request. Laundry and ironing are open 24/7. All cabins are non-smoking.
THE JACUZZI SUITE.
The suite is twice the size of a Deluxe Cabin.
It has a large bed and its own dining area. The bathroom is marble. The jacuzzi sits under a wide window with a Nile view.
ON DECK.
The sundeck has a heated pool and sunbeds. There is space for outdoor meals too.
Want to move? Try the mini gym or the open-air yoga deck. Both have Nile views.
Inside, the lounge looks out on the river. Have a drink. Play a game of chess.
FOOD AND EVENINGS.
The restaurant is indoors. You can order from a menu or share dishes at the table. You can also eat outside on deck.
The kitchen follows the Crystal International Program for food safety. Water on board is cleaned with UV light.

Does Nawara really sail?

Ten Deluxe Cabins (22.8 m² or 245 sq ft) with a twin or double bed. Two Jacuzzi Suites (45.6 m² or 491 sq ft) with a large bed, a private dining area and a jacuzzi. Every cabin has a Nile view.
Is there a pool on Nawara?
Yes. There is a heated pool on the sundeck, with sunbeds. There is also a mini gym and an open-air yoga deck.
What days does Nawara sail?
Sunday to Thursday, and Thursday to Sunday. Ask us for the next dates.
Can I book with my own group or join other guests?
Both. You can request a group booking, or join a shared sailing.
