Option 1 — Private Car Transfer from Cairo.
A private car transfer is the most straightforward overland route — no internal flight booking, no airport layover, door-to-door from your Cairo hotel or airport to the marina. Cairo to Hurghada covers approximately 465 km along the Cairo–Suez Desert Road and the Suez–Hurghada coastal highway, taking between 4 and 4.5 hours in normal conditions.
For groups departing from Port Ghalib, the road distance from Cairo is approximately 740 km, taking 7–8 hours. In most cases, guests flying into Cairo and boarding at Port Ghalib will find a domestic flight to Marsa Alam Airport (RMF) more practical — Port Ghalib Marina is 15 minutes from RMF.
Option 2 — Domestic Flight from Cairo to Hurghada or Marsa Alam.
EgyptAir operates domestic services between Cairo International (CAI) and both Hurghada Airport (HRG) and Marsa Alam Airport (RMF). Flight time is approximately one hour on either route. For groups boarding at Hurghada Marina, fly into HRG. For groups boarding at Port Ghalib, fly into RMF — Port Ghalib Marina is 15 minutes from the airport.
The domestic flight option is particularly useful for larger groups where individual members may be arriving into Cairo on separate international connections. It reduces total ground transfer time significantly — particularly relevant for the Cairo → Port Ghalib route where the road journey would otherwise take 7–8 hours.

Option 3 — Overland via Luxor (Land Extension Route).
Guests running the Boreas Egypt land extension — Cairo, the Pyramids, and Luxor before boarding — follow a different transfer sequence. After completing the land programme in Luxor, guests take a domestic flight from Luxor Airport (LXR) to either Hurghada Airport (HRG) or Marsa Alam Airport (RMF), depending on which marina the charter departs from. This flight is included as part of the combined land-and-sea programme.
An alternative for those who prefer to avoid a second domestic flight: the drive from Luxor to Hurghada is approximately 230 km, taking around 3 hours by private car along the Nile Valley–Red Sea Road. Boreas coordinates all transfer logistics across the full combined itinerary — guests do not arrange overland legs independently.
